Ozma of Oz (1907) follows Dorothy Gale, swept overboard on a voyage to Australia and washed ashore with Billina, a talking yellow hen, in the fairy kingdom of Ev. With Tik-Tok the clockwork man and an army led by Princess Ozma, she sets out to rescue the royal family of Ev — transformed into trinkets in the Nome King's underground caverns. The third book in Baum's Oz series, and the first to bring Dorothy back to the magical land.
